Now that we're settled, we finally did Henry's baby blessing this past Sunday. We were able to have my parents, my sister Hannah, and my Aunt Diana come to the blessing. Since our ward meets at 12:30, they came to our house before church to hang out and take pictures and then left after sacrament meeting. Henry wore the cute new outfit that Brian's mom bought for him. He slept through the whole thing, which is always nice. I've been lucky that none of my kids have cried during their blessings.

Random Happenings
We went out to Lincoln City last weekend. The girls had fun running around on the beach even though it was a little chilly (like usual) there.
During the week before Brian started his job, he grew out his mustache for fun.
This past saturday we headed up to Portland. We were able to visit my Grandma Jackie in Vancouver. The girls loved chasing around her two little pugs, Lily and Petunia. Jade kept trying to uncurl their tails.
Then we went and hiked around Tryon Creek State Park with Hannah. Have I ever mentioned our goal to visit every state park in Oregon and take a picture by the sign?
We had a random couple days of warm weather. Henry laid around with his belly hanging out to combat the heat. He's getting so chunky that Brian accused me of feeding him chocolate.

Here are some pictures with Brian's parents and some of the Utah cousins from our trip. It was nice to have some breaks from all the time in the car.

Backtracking
We've been busy here trying to get things sorted out and organized. I thought I would back track a little and post some stuff about the move. My sister Maranda flew up to help us with the first leg of our journey. Here she is with the girls on Easter Sunday before church:
Brian and Maranda left after sacrament meeting to work on loading the truck, but I stayed behind so I could say goodbye to my primary kids. I made them all little CTR pins because it is the theme for this year.
I was seriously bawling for most of the last two hours of church. I can't say that I've been very fond of any of the places that we've lived since we've been married, but I always get so sad to move because of the people that I'm leaving behind. These kids were a pain in the butt sometimes, but I love them all so much and I'm going to miss seeing them every sunday.
I wish I had gotten a picture of the moving truck. I ordered a 20 foot truck, but all they had was a 26 footer. So, poor Brian had to drive the huge truck while towing our civic behind it. He took Greta with him and the rest of us (me, Maranda, Jade, Henry, and Victor) were all in the Mazda following behind them. It was very nice having an extra set of hands for the trip! And it didn't hurt that Maranda likes to drive and I don't. She drove with us as far as Utah and then my older sister, Freyja, took over for the second half of the trip. I think the only real mishap was the first day when Victor busted out of his carrier. Maranda was driving at the time, so I had to grab him and hold him in my lap for about a half hour until we were able to pull over at the travel plaza in Kansas and transfer him to his old, smaller carrier. Luckily Brian had thought to bring it along as a back-up. The kids did really well during the trip (so did the cat besides the attempted escape) which I was very grateful for. It could have been ugly, but we lucked out.
It took us 6 days to get to Oregon because we spent an extra day in Utah to visit with Brian's siblings. We arrived on Saturday around 4 pm and a bunch of guys from our new ward showed up to help unload the truck. My parents drove down later and took us out to dinner. It took about a week to get things somewhat organized in our new place and it's still not completely done, but I'm waiting for some little bookshelves that I ordered from IKEA to get here so I can get all of the boxes of books off of my bedroom floor.

We Moved to Dallas....Oregon!
We have been getting unpacked and organized here in Oregon, but the girls and I spent some time at the Dallas city park the other day throwing rocks in the river and riding bears. The bears were carved out of an old tree stump (the trees here are huge).
